Former Gov. Matt Bevin’s total disregard for the victims and their families in pardoning murderers and a child rapist is sickening. Beyond inappropriate, the actions are heartless and vindictive, and in cases of alleged political gain, warrant investigation.

Our political system must work to give victims of crime a voice and not silence them. I’m calling on leaders to ensure there is a thorough review of his pardons and commutations, which number over 600. We owe this to the families, their loved ones and to law enforcement.

We must not let Senate Republicans add #VRAA to Leader McConnell’s #LegislativeGraveyard. The House Friday did its part to protect Americans’ foundational right to vote by passing #HR4. Will Senate Rs finally act on my Senate VRAA? History is watching.

Amy I’m getting the impression that you are one of the few politicians in Kentucky who isn’t corrupt. I’ve got my hopes on you to get rid of at least one.

Bevin is a Republican. Kentuckians need to stop voting Republican.

Amy —

what is going on with these pardons?

Is there any legitimate concern about that guilty verdicts like, say , misconduct by prosecutors or new DNA evidence or … ???

IF NOT — for what possible reason would *anyone* pardon these criminals ?

I agree Bevin’s pardons are absurd. But who’s the voice of the babies that you agree with murdering? Talking about heartless? You agree that a baby should legally be able to be murdered because you dont have the backbone to stand up for what is right.

Beyond this, the Governor’s actions place people in the vicinity of these heinous criminals, at dire risk. Pedophiles and murderers do not belong among civilized Americans‼️

he real sad part about all of this is Trump will get re-elected. It will then give him 4 more years to continue to dismantle our country, strengthen our advisories, weaken our international clout, and continue to tell his clueless supporters that he realy cares about them.

He doesn’t give a rat’s a$$ about his supporters and his congressional supporter will do anything to appease him if it keeps them in office, even if he murdered someone on fifth ave, sexually abused a woman, shows publicly his racist views, and his disrespect to our military.

Some of his pardons may be questionable, but the vast majority of them pardoned people that simply did not need to be in prison, and in a state where almost 1% of the population is in prison, that’s something to be praised.

No. The families of one of the murderers he pardoned paid him $21,000. And one of them was a teacher who had child pornography on his phone. That is hard evidence. Bevins did not do this out of the goodness of his heart because he believed these people are innocent.

What makes you think that he disregarded victims & families? Many victims (& families) of sexual violence don’t like the punishments given & believe in restorative justice.
My family wanted was the abuser to take ownership & accountability 4 their actions. Instead, got 30 yrs.

If you know how to report several Army Cadets who flashed the white supremacist sign on my television during the Army Navy game, please do so.
