“He continues to call for the jailing of his political enemies.”

The President suggests the former FBI Director should be sent to prison, although there is no credible accusation of a crime. At the same time Trump accuses House impeachment investigators of denying him due process, he continues to call for the jailing of his political enemies.

There is absolutely no doubt some years in prison are necessary. All we disagree on is the identity of the prisoner. BTW, hair spray is contraband in prisons so the punishment doubles in its impact. 😆

Calling for the imprisonment of perceived “political enemies” just brings us one more chilling step closer to the autocracies of Trump’s “strongman” idols, Putin, Erdogan et al.
That saying such a thing has not caused a national uproar is even more chilling.

Admitting an error is the path to correcting mistakes. Trump never admits to errors and never fixes mistakes, and mistakes dominate his life. Congrats to Dir. Comey.

Trump may not realize it, but he really wouldn’t enjoy due process – because that would guarantee him an impartial ruling, a jury that isn’t bribed or biased in his favor, and a thorough hearing of the facts from *both* sides, during the Senate trial.

He wants a rigged trial.

Comey practically put trump in the WH single handedly and now trump wants to put him in prison with no actual charges? That’s gratitude for ya.

This is the behavior of tyrants. Same way George III used disease as a weapon against natives or quartered troops in homes.

Comey’s mistake pale in comparison to Trump’s deliberate actions to enrich himself even as it goes against the US Constitution.

Denying him due process? That’s weird because I could swear they tried to assure his inclusion and they opted not to participate claiming it would be too partisan, which it wasn’t
However, he will have no problem in the Senate where it will clearly be partisan in his favor.

Josh …

Just as a US President doesn’t really “ask”, he also does not just “suggest”.

At what point will someone (our Intel agencies? former WH officials?) come forward to reveal that Trump is a serious threat to our Democracy??

I feel powerless.
What can we do??

Sounds like dictators like Putin are advising Trump on how to govern a nation. Sorry but jailing people who oppose the President don’t get jailed in a democracy.

Another dictator trait. Calling for the lock up of individuals whom don’t pass the loyalty test. It’s appalling that the GOP turns their head to this behavior. It’s not a one off. #Trump #ontyranny #jamescomey

In 2011 Obama asked Mueller to stay on as head of FBI, IMO, due to the growing Global organized crime threat (Russia) & US security Mueller warned of. How did that influence decisions the FBI made before and throughout the election? How much is the public unaware of?

Dictators gonna dictate. For GOP to pull off this coup, it’s going to require massive purges, secret police, massive gulag system. They don’t have the balls.

There’s a lot to think about here. Yes, FISA needs reform. But does that mean the entire Mueller probe is invalid? I don’t think so. How do we move forward now? We still have national security and the US Constitution to prioritize.

Trump wants us to notice anyone and anything so we don’t focus on his corruption self-enriching lying cheating ways.

The former FBI Director did something that the President will never do. He admitted he was wrong! He took responsibility for some mistakes made below him that ultimately fell back on him as Director. That’s leadership. I commend him for that. The FBI do amazing work.

Signing as Verified, 3 false FISA warrants to the court is a start. Also, shouldn’t you disclose you were Comey’s little helper during the exciting Crossfire Hurricane, every time you come to his defense as a paid “journalist”?
