Jeremy Hunt; *of course* Russia is interfering in our elections.

Wow. Jeremy Hunt says the obvious but until now unsayable: *of course* Russia is interfering in our elections. Dangerous & naive think otherwise. Begs the question: what is Boris Johnson? Dangerous? Or naive?

Which then raises the obvious question: What the hell are your government doing about it right now, in this election period?

It’s like the chief of police admitting crime is out of control while someone’s getting mugged in the background.

I think it’s even more like the chief of police admitting crime is out of control while mugging someone.

If you want to read more about just how exactly they use the internet to do significant damage, I’ve got an article pinned to my profile on that.

While it is written for an American audience, the tactics they use in the UK are not all that different.

Question on everybody’s lips should be, if he wins the election, before the intelligence dossier comes out, and he’s a foriegn asset, will parliment throw him out?
Tories won’t! They are exactly like GOP in US, heavenly financed by Russia. A purchased foreign policy by Russia!

Both.

The thing is, Russia is doing nothing that we don’t do ourselves. It’s normal. To think otherwise is a denial of history. A problem only occurs though, when the interference is successful. Suppression of the report makes it clear that it has been. Only ? is how successful?

IMHO Boris Johnson is dangerous, he is compromised by Putin, influenced by Billionaires and highly likely a Russian asset and “useful fool” who also appears to be enthralled by Trump (may he be impeached and removed). Also lies, lies and more lies.

Mmmmm, anyone think of any Western democracies that have recently been destabilised? 🤔

“Dangerous and naive to think otherwise” imo that’s prep talk, laying the groundwork of excuses before the report is released. Bit by bit they’ll break this story so the shock is mitigated with “a we all knew’ and “it happens everywhere”
Just imagine that was a Labour minister!

Regardless of whether he is naive or not, he has been highly dangerous to Britain, from everything I’ve read of his career and long held views, values, and priorities. Especially in his current position.

Can we add complicit and conceited…..his conceit is that the “end” (him in power) more than justifies the “means” (cosying up to Russian money, letting it all go on, doing nothing, and even encouraging it).
